Beyond Your Blog
Show Description: *

I interview an editor each week from an online or other type of publication that accepts writing submissions. My audience is primarily female bloggers looking to be published outside of their own blogs. Past guests have included NY Times, BlogHer, Chicken Soup For The Soul, Huffpost and many more.

Guests discuss how to submit content to be published, qualities of pieces that are most likely to be accepted, etc. and are able to pitch any projects/events/etc. at the end of the interview. It is a great way for editors to spread the word on submission opportunities and also to educate potential writers on what they are looking for to increase submission quality. Many past guests have linked their episodes on submission guidelines pages.

Interviews are recorded audio only via Skype.

If you charge for interviews, ask for co-promotions, request "donations", or have other expectations of your guests, what are they and what do guests get back? *
No charge. Prefer guests who pay writers whose work they publish but not a must if the guest/site has other qualities of interest to my audience. Guests get exposure for their site, typically an increase in writing submissions and the ability to educate their writers and link the podcast on their submission guidelines page.
