We are looking for guests to tell true, personal narratives in story form.
People who've gone through memorable experiences. And it's a big plus if the story carries a powerful message. Last time I posted here I got bombarded with inspirational and spiritual speakers, motivational and self-help speakers, and psychics. We just want great storytellers with intriguing stories. It's that simple.

Ours is a public radio talk show airing live every Thursday evening from 8-9 PM (Central Time) on KPFT 90.1 FM in Houston, TX . Our show is devoted to stories and the art of telling them. We feature anywhere from one to three storytellers per program, and actual stories take up a total of about 40 minutes of air time. Stories are usually between 3-8 minutes so, depending on the number of guests, they could tell either one story or up to about five shorter ones. There is intermittent discussions in between stories to introduce and follow up on them. We try to have a theme for the evening to connect the stories, but sometimes it just turns into a mish mash. The most important thing is to have stories that will keep our listeners captivated. Radio station has a politically progressive slant. We will promote books and other projects, but not constantly throughout the program. | |

| We do not encourage this but if you charge for interviews, ask for co-promotions, request "donations", or have other expectations of your guests, what are they and what do guests get back? [If you charge guests for interviews or anything else you MUST disclose it here.]* | We do not charge for our interviews. We are a public, listener-supported radio station but donations are not mandatory. However, if the guest makes a donation to the station we can announce it on air. (We don't mention amounts donated. Just the fact that the guest has donated) This can endear the guest to the audience. |
