Show Description: *

Eric Shine’s show Maritime Matters on WGSO on Wednesday (7 pm to 8 pm Central) in New Orleans. Maritime Matters covers a wide range of government, political, macro economic, and sociology topics. His interests particularly are on individual liberties, government abuse of power, and economic matters directly affecting the working and middle class.

He also reports on American and international maritime issues such as American flag shipping, merchant mariner licensing, shipyards, U.S. Navy and Coast Guard.

Some of this focus is on whistleblower protections for merchant mariners, government civil servants, government contractors, and shipyard workers.

After Eric graduated in 1991 from the US Merchant Marine Academy with a degree in marine engineering, he has served in the US Navy Reserve as a commissioned officer, as a licensed mariner on American flag vessels, and in engineering roles at shipyards.

Eric has over 20 years experience hosting radio and tv shows interviewing a diverse array of guests ranging from actor Ed Asner, acclaimed sociologist Dennis Loo PhD, and Lt Col Karen Kwiatkowski, USAF (ret), a libertarian activist.
