I am launching the Fair Parenting Podcast to talk about issues of family law and child custody.
I want to find a movie expert to interview for one episode or a few episodes to discuss films like these and how they link to adversity.

| Show Description: * | I am launching the Fair Parenting Podcast to talk about issues of family law and child custody. It sounds serious but I want some lighter episodes to talk about cultural references in books and films to do with adversity. For example, the movie Steve Jobs is really a movie about a parent and child. The scene where the daughter runs to Jobs and says ‘I want to live with you’, despite his apparent lack of interest, is powerful. At the end Jobs tells her of his plan to invent the iPod and they become closer, with the last shot of the film her backstage watching him launch the iMac. Another example is Christopher Nolan films. Inception is about a dad trying to get back to his kids and Interstellar is about an astronaut trying to come home to his daughter who, by the time it happens, has lived her entire life. I am also interested in films where someone struggles against adversity or injustice i.e. It’s a Wonderful Life or Unbroken. There are of course many others. |
